A well kept Secret

For those of you who know about this place, why did you keep it a secret?  The World War I Memorial Park and petting zoo in North Attleboro is one of the greatest places I have been too.  For starters it is free; yes you read that right, FREE!!
There are a number of playgrounds around the park for different aged children, the biggest slide I have ever seen outside of a waterpark and adorable animals.  There are Lamas, horses, goats, deer, donkeys, pigs and a lot of friendly chipmunks.  You can feed the animal’s carrots, apples or the corn that you can purchase for 25 cents a handful.
There are picnic tables for lunch and they have porta potties that were actually clean, well as clean as they can get.  The area is under video surveillance which made me feel very comfortable.
The big slide is in Julia’s garden area that has water jets, they spray intermittently so the kids can get sprayed in the face,  that was a classic moment!

One area we saw but did not visit was the sand area set up to look like the beach.  Kids were playing with shovels and buckets just like they would at the beach.  The area was beautiful with Adirondack chairs for the parents

If your looking for something fun to do on a nice day, pack a lunch and the kids in the car and head to the park!  Don't forget to bring carrots and sliced apples for the animals!
